Yoga Alliance is a non-profit organization headquarted in Reading
Pennsyvania. Formed in February of 1999, Yoga Alliance exits to
support yoga teachers in their professional development and to promote
quality yoga instruction for the practicing public. Yoga Alliance
is not affiliated with any school or tradition of yoga. Yoga Alliance
registers yoga teachers who have met specific training standards
and lists those teachers on its website. Recognition as a Registered
Yoga Teacher (RYT) is granted at 200-hour and 500-hour levels. As
yoga is becoming more recognized as a complementary health practice,
it is anticipated that national standards will be required in the
near future

Itsy Bitsy Yoga™ introduces your baby (or toddler) and you
to the many benefits of yoga in the first years of life. Helen Garabedian,
an Infant Developmental Movement Educator and Registered Yoga Teacher,
created this program which includes more than 75 yoga poses and
techniques for babies from 3 weeks to 24 months old that are developmentally
nutritious and deepen the parent/child bond.
